Hani Shennib, MD is the Founder, President and Medical Director of Vascular Heart & Lung Associates. He is a Clinical Professor of Vascular and Cardiothoracic Surgery at the College of Medicine - Phoenix, University of Arizona. Prior to this he was full professor of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, Medicine, Transplantation and Immuno-biology at the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University in Montreal, Canada where he practiced, performed research and taught cardiovascular and thoracic surgery at its University Hospitals for over 25 years. Throughout his career, Dr. Shennib has had an interest in cutting-edge technology and minimally invasive interventions and contributed to development of the latest techniques and devices in both cardiac, vascular and lung surgery. He conducted the first North American clinical trial on the use of robotics for Coronary Artery Bypass surgery. He was a pioneer in thoracic transplantation where he performed many "firsts" in lung transplantation. He has published over 200 original articles, books and chapters, lectured extensively around the world in the field of vascular, cardiac, thoracic and transplantation surgery. He holds 17 patents.
